Prayers of
The Church

SUNDAY, October 17, 2021

Set free from sin and death and nourished by the word of truth, we join in prayer for all of God’s creation.

Holy God, we give you thanks for the gift of the church handed down through the ages and for all who carry on the servant ministry of Jesus. Send your Holy Spirit upon all who are discerning calls to ministry in its many forms and equip them with your gifts. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Creating God, we give you thanks for the lush and abundant habitat you provide for all your creatures. Help us to be faithful stewards of all that you have made, and to promote healing, that all life flourishes as you intend. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Suffering God, we give thanks for all who work toward peace within our world. Bring justice for all who suffer violence, persecution, discrimination, hunger, poverty, and homelessness, and create places of safety and welcome for refugees. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Merciful God,  we give thanks for all who do the work of healing in mind, body, and spirit. Surround and comfort all who struggle with grief or illness;  and especially today we pray for Jeffrey Gellner and his family at the death of his father, and for Brenda Shafer and her family at the death of her mother.  We also pray for Diane Holleman, Ace Brandt, Andrea Absey, Noah Fairfield, Cheryl Aldentaler, Leroy Hansen, Kevin Lott, Ruth Smith, Tom & Colleen Perius, Bert Kvamme, Michael Nelson, Debra Ashmore, Kathy Braton,  Dennis Odegard, and those we name… That all may be healed. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Sustaining God, we give you thanks for all who serve our preschool as teachers, volunteers, and leaders. Strengthen and encourage them in their work so that they may continue to shine your light into our community and beyond. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Confident that you hear us, O God, we boldly place our prayers into your hands; through Jesus Christ, our truth and life.

Amen.

TRADITIONAL WORSHIP
Join us in the Sanctuary for liturgical worship accompanied by our outstanding musicians, featuring pipe organ, choirs, brass, bells and more! Word and sacrament ministry is at the heart of Trinity. It is here where people gather for scripture, music, prayer, and the good news in word, water, bread and wine. Holy Communion is offered every Sunday. Services are printed and hymns are from our Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) hymnal.

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP
Join us in the Christian Life Center for liturgical worship in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by our incredible worship band featuring vocalists, keyboards, electric bass, drums, saxophone, and more. Holy Communion is offered at every service. Words and music are projected for your convenience.

Frequently asked questions about worship

There is a pattern and rhythm to worship that is not exclusively Lutheran, but we gather each week to worship and find its foundation within the pages of the Bible.
