Prayers of
The Church

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2021

Made children and heirs of God’s promise, we pray for the church, the world, and all in need.

Gracious God, you gather congregations together by the power of your Word. Bless leaders with the gifts of wisdom and discernment as they seek to make the good news of your gospel known to all. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Creative God, your whole creation sings of the goodness of this earth and declares your greatness. Make us good stewards of our world for the generations to come. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Sovereign God, we pray for the nations of our world embroiled in conflict. Inspire all leaders to listen to each other and work towards just and peaceful solutions. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Loving God, you desire health and wholeness. Break our hearts open to all those who suffer and mourn.  Especially today we pray for the family and friends of Jerry Heuer;  and for Deb Tietz and her family at the death of her father.  We also pray for Diane Holleman, Marvin Jacobsen, Ace Brandt, Andrea Absey, Sherwood Peterson, Bert Kvamme, Noah Fairfield, Joan Barry, Rolland Johnson, Cheryl Aldentaler, Floyd Florey, Jonathan Grothe, Leroy Hansen, Kevin Lott, Val Rood, Karma Anderson, Dale Anderson  and Taylor & Cassandra Nelson and family,  as well as those we name in our hearts at this moment….  Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

God of compassion, you call us to care for all your children,  and today we recognize our Lost & Found Recovery Ministry and the work they do for those struggling with addiction and for their families.  May you continue to bless this ministry to be a light in our community and beyond. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Amen.

TRADITIONAL WORSHIP
Join us in the Sanctuary for liturgical worship accompanied by our outstanding musicians, featuring pipe organ, choirs, brass, bells and more! Word and sacrament ministry is at the heart of Trinity. It is here where people gather for scripture, music, prayer, and the good news in word, water, bread and wine. Holy Communion is offered every Sunday. Services are printed and hymns are from our Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) hymnal.

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP
Join us in the Christian Life Center for liturgical worship in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by our incredible worship band featuring vocalists, keyboards, electric bass, drums, saxophone, and more. Holy Communion is offered at every service. Words and music are projected for your convenience.

Frequently asked questions about worship

There is a pattern and rhythm to worship that is not exclusively Lutheran, but we gather each week to worship and find its foundation within the pages of the Bible.
