Prayers of
The Church

SUNDAY, November 28, 2021

In this season of watching and waiting, let us pray for all people and places that yearn for God’s presence.

God of presence and peace, strengthen your church around the globe to proclaim the message of your love coming to the world. Open our hearts to recognize your face in all people and in all of creation. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer.

God of promises kept and new dreams awakened, shelter your people from destructive storms. We pray for those whose lives have been upended by natural disasters, for the work of Lutheran Disaster Response, Lutheran World Relief, and other relief organizations. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer.

God of equity and compassion, bring righteousness and goodness to all peoples of the earth. Give a heart of discernment and integrity to leaders in our communities. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer.

God of comfort and care, be present with those who watch and wait. Come to all who await births, deaths, divorces, new unions, new jobs, retirements, healing, and life transitions of every kind. Bring healing to those who are ill, especially Diane Holleman, Andrea Absey, Noah Fairfield, Leroy Hansen, Cheryl Aldentaler, Harold Romsdahl, Verne Wik, Carole Camrud, Elaine Renslow and Owen Deepe. Comfort family and friends at the death of Heidi Hagstrom, former director of the ELCA Youth Gathering. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer.

God of companionship and community, we give you thanks for the saints who journeyed with us and now abide in you. Even in distress and uncertainty, make us confident that your promises endure forever. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer.

God of new life, you come among us in the places we least expect. Open our eyes to your presence. Open our hearts to your love that we might in turn share that same unconditional love with all we encounter. Receive these prayers and those of our hearts. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

TRADITIONAL WORSHIP
Join us in the Sanctuary for liturgical worship accompanied by our outstanding musicians, featuring pipe organ, choirs, brass, bells and more! Word and sacrament ministry is at the heart of Trinity. It is here where people gather for scripture, music, prayer, and the good news in word, water, bread and wine. Holy Communion is offered every Sunday. Services are printed and hymns are from our Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) hymnal.

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP
Join us in the Christian Life Center for liturgical worship in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by our incredible worship band featuring vocalists, keyboards, electric bass, drums, saxophone, and more. Holy Communion is offered at every service. Words and music are projected for your convenience.

Frequently asked questions about worship

There is a pattern and rhythm to worship that is not exclusively Lutheran, but we gather each week to worship and find its foundation within the pages of the Bible.
